A kick start to better education

"I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well."

-Alexander The Great

My beautiful twin girls just started kindergarten and our public education system has done everything but impress me. It had me thinking, What if you could setup a live streaming service for each class room so that every class rooms teachings can be shot to you the parent in 1080p. You could just pull up an app on your device and you could check on your child's safety while ensuring your child will have a brighter future. I know I would pay between $50 and $100 a month for a service like that. This would not only help out parent and child it would force the teachers to compete and drive them to create better lessons. That alone would cause us to look at teachers in a better light and appreciate what they are doing for our future generations. It would bring teachers back into more influential positions in our society. It might even give teachers the opportunity to gain the respect that they deserve.  So I would want that $50 a month to go straight to the teacher. Your standard 4A High school has an average of 2,000 students, there are about 30 students per teacher. That's roughly 67 teachers in the school total. Multiply the monthly cost $50 by the 8 month a year you child's in school and that's $400 a year. Now multiply $400 a year by 2000 parents that's $800,000 a year tax free no doubt. Now that's not even including the ridiculously high divorce rate in America. If we were to split those earnings between the people that deserve that money, the teachers. This could add $12,000 a year to each teachers income, with the average income in teachers only being $45,000 annually this could bump each teachers income by 26% instantly. Seems like a good kick start in the right direction. I feel it could make every class room in America exciting again and give our children a better chance at a brighter future.

Random Ramblings on Education.

I want to reiterate that I'm new to writing. I'm here to fail in front of peering eyes. So please leave your comments below criticisms are always welcome. Failing is the only way we get better. Also as an experiment I'm doing this whole blog through Google Voice some things might get messed up. Enjoy!

“I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.” -Mark Twain

I wanted to start this blog entry off with one of my favorite quotes. This quote means a lot to me I am a true believer in this era of information that we live in. In this day and age I believe that standardized education is becoming a thing of the past. I learn more on my own through experiences and free information. As I stated on the front page of my sight I have no college education officially. I feel I have learned more through working under an intelligent entrepreneur and having an appetite for interesting things. If you ask anyone close to me they might tell you that simply, I get into things. If you ask my doctor he might tell you i have A.D.D. I feel like everyone has that thirst for knowledge it just needs to be unlocked by finding things that you are passionate about. Even just 30 years ago if you wanted to research a subject you had to go to a library and hope they had a book on that subject. Now we have Google and YouTube. We have the freedom to find out how to complete almost any task on our own. This is the type of Freedom that people should get excited about. I was never excited about writing about things I don't like. Filling out busy work or studying just to take a test. You don't need To waste your time With overpriced classes when you can listen to courses that you are sincerely interested about on Audible.com for instance. This is the future of learning our children will not be sitting in classrooms. As parents we don't need to shame our children into going to school. I myself felt social pressure about going to college but I'm here to tell you now, don't go to class unless you want to be there. There are other options do not succumb to the pressures put upon you by authority figures. Older Generations will not understand but to progress as a society we must learn from our mistakes and change. I think we can agree that our education systems need some change .Please get off Xbox Live for a second, put down your cell phone, Snap chat can wait. Learn something new and become passionate about it. Learn about something you enjoy. That is how we become better more level headed individuals.
