"I am indebted to my father for living, but to my teacher for living well."
-Alexander The Great
My beautiful twin girls just started kindergarten and our public education system has done everything but impress me. It had me thinking, What if you could setup a live streaming service for each class room so that every class rooms teachings can be shot to you the parent in 1080p. You could just pull up an app on your device and you could check on your child's safety while ensuring your child will have a brighter future. I know I would pay between $50 and $100 a month for a service like that. This would not only help out parent and child it would force the teachers to compete and drive them to create better lessons. That alone would cause us to look at teachers in a better light and appreciate what they are doing for our future generations. It would bring teachers back into more influential positions in our society. It might even give teachers the opportunity to gain the respect that they deserve. So I would want that $50 a month to go straight to the teacher. Your standard 4A High school has an average of 2,000 students, there are about 30 students per teacher. That's roughly 67 teachers in the school total. Multiply the monthly cost $50 by the 8 month a year you child's in school and that's $400 a year. Now multiply $400 a year by 2000 parents that's $800,000 a year tax free no doubt. Now that's not even including the ridiculously high divorce rate in America. If we were to split those earnings between the people that deserve that money, the teachers. This could add $12,000 a year to each teachers income, with the average income in teachers only being $45,000 annually this could bump each teachers income by 26% instantly. Seems like a good kick start in the right direction. I feel it could make every class room in America exciting again and give our children a better chance at a brighter future.
